Platforms Glossary
Transmission-level point, or TLP, refers to the testing of an electric circuit. Specifically, it is an area where a test signal can be inserted. Once the signal is run through the TLP, a variety of metrics can be determined. This includes the noise and power of the signal being used.
Small businesses do not typically have to worry about TLPs. This may change if they are involved in any arena where they work closely with audio signals. TLPs are critically important for audio-related industries. They are used to determine the ideal audio level of certain audio instruments. However, otherwise, a small business will not interact with TLPs.
